Consultation – Angling on Malham Tarn

The National Trust are carrying out a consultation of fishing at Malham Tarn and would like to invite the local community to be involved.

The Consultation is now live, and will run till 31st October 2021.

We made the decision to carry the consultation process out online, rather than in person, due to the global pandemic and the predicted rise in cases as we head into autumn. It also means we can record the feedback more fairly and make sure everyone has a chance to have their say. This includes those who live a long way from Malham and would be unable to attend meetings in person. We are using Survey Monkey to carry out the consultation and there is space for additional comments and feedback.

We understand that there are some passionate views around angling and we will welcome constructive comments submitted via the survey monkey portal. Once completed, feedback will be reviewed ahead of final decisions made. We hope to be able to announce the outcomes in mid-November.
